Our story begins in the early 19th century, when the property was known as the Sheriff’s House.

By 1887, it had evolved into a hotel called Seaview, welcoming travelers to Barbados’ shores. For decades, the property remained in the care of the Gale family, helping to shape its identity as a place rooted in tradition. In 2000, a thoughtful restoration brought new life to the resort, preserving its historic character while introducing modern comforts that continue to define the experience today.

At the heart of the property is our restored plantation house, a reflection of Barbados’ colonial past with its classic architecture, traditional details, and enduring charm. Surrounded by tropical gardens and just steps from the Caribbean Sea, we offer a setting that feels both timeless and easygoing. Whether you spend your days relaxing by the water, exploring nearby Bridgetown, or discovering the stories of the Garrison, we create space for you to connect with the island in a way that feels natural and unhurried.

We are not a large, high-rise resort, and that is by design

Instead, we offer a more personal experience where friendly service, familiar faces, and a relaxed pace come together to create something memorable. At Savannah Beach Club, we welcome you to settle in, explore at your own rhythm, and enjoy a stay that reflects the true spirit of Barbados.
